Ok guys so i need to solve something fast, my friend has a Pentium G2030 3.00Ghz CPU and he asked me out if it will be ok to pair it with a GTX 1050 Zotac Mini 2GB. From what i know he could run some really nice games even if its a dual core, in smooth settings but, will be there any problems pairing them, except the bottlenecks by turning every game on ultra settings lmao. Will he be ok to play some games like GTA 5, Rise of the tomb raider, Far Cry 4/Primal etc etc? Doesn't have to be the ultra settings, but the medium-high preset or whatsoever?
Thanks in advance.
P.S: I know that's a crappy CPU, i've told him that but rofl, he doesn't want to change it tho because of the budget.

Solution
it should be fine, though GTA 5 wont be very forgiving with that CPU. i suggest playing that game with graphics set to medium with some on high while you disable some CPU bound settings like population variety...etc. i haven't played that game yet

Lawrence, I've edited your posts due to the swear words. Don't use them again. This is considered a family friendly site and don't allow such language.

There will be random games that won't like his slower CPU. But he's not buying a great GPU either. Overall it's fairly balanced and he should be ok with that GPU.
