Computer Won't Reboot Unless Power Is Disconnected

I have a Windows 7 64-bit build, using an Asus Rampage III motherboard. Recently when rebooting in Windows the computer won't restart, unless I turn off the computer from the back (sometimes I have to do this twice). I cleared the CMOS settings, and enabled EuP Power Settings in the BIOS (as this being disabled in the past caused the same issues). But this hasn't worked this time.

Also, when I do get back into Windows, many times I have to reconnect my wireless Logitech mouse and keyboard.

What is causing these issues... could it be some sort of virus?

Ok, but it seems like the battery is keeping the last configuration after the power is disconnected, as well as the correct time, so I believe the battery is fine (it's a lot of work for me to disconnect everything and open up this computer).

Yeah, I guess that's worth a try... there's only 1 USB adapter that controls the Logitech devices, so I can try restarting without it connected.

connected in the fornt of the case? are those unifying capable devices or just a keyboard and mouse combo?

i have one unifying and one no unifying, the unifying is way better than the other, the other sometimes keyboard won't respond well, especially when connected in the front of the case

I have them near the front of my setup, using a USB extension cable.

When you mean unifying, do you mean one of those little receivers that plugs into the side of a laptop? This unit is a bit larger, and you sometimes have to press both connect on the keyboard/mouse and the unit itself for things to connect.

Oh, ok.

Well, I disconnected the Bluetooth Dongle, and the computer restarted fine! I really didn't expect it to, but it did. Now I only had a chance to restart it once this morning, but I still can't believe it worked. I'll have to try it again a few times to see if the dongle is the culprit. When I did get back into Windows, the mouse and keyboard both worked fine, but the Logitech Connector came up - it's come up before even when both are working.

Would one be able to convert the dongle over to a unifying connection without getting a new mouse and keyboard? (I don't believe so as the unifying is wifi, right?)

i'm not sure if you have bluetooth or unifying devices

please tell me the models of your devices

some logitech devices gan be managed to become unifying and work with only one unifiying receiver, but if the devices are bluetooth, unifying afik will not work with those, those depends on your bluetooth receiver

this combo?

iirc, this is a very old combo, perhaps 10 years, it uses a proprietary bluetooth receiver only for this combo, anyway, it is a very old combo and i don't think it can work with a unifying receiver, it only can work with the receiver that came with the combo, if the receiver stops working, you will need a new receiver if still available or a new combo
