Hi,
I have a Asus m5a97 motherboard. I shut the power off today to install a light and I forgot to unplug the computer. When I turned it back on, I couldn't turn on the computer. But, when I plug the computer, I see the green power stand by light on the motherboard that is blinking. Which is good news, I think... I looked for a fuse to change on the motherboard but I can't find one. Because that the little green light on the motherboard is on, do you think the problem might be somewhere else?

Unfortunately is not that simple, there's no fuse to replace, but try removing the motherboard battery for 1 minute and try again

Loss of power (when you turned all power off) would not hurt your PC. Neither should turning the power back on. as your PC was already off. Have you tried using the power switch on your PC?

You might have created some static in the computer.
Try this.
Unplug the cord from the computer's power supply then hold the power button for 10 seconds.
This will discharge any power still left in the computer.
Now plug the cord back in and see if it boots up again.
If that doesn't work then again unplug the cord from the computer's power supply and then pull the large 24pin power connector that goes to the motherboard count to 20 and plug it back in.
Power supplies can hold a charge even when switched off and this method will drain any remaining power from the motherboard.
