Old HDD broke

OK so my old HDD broke down with the windows 10 OS on it, so I bought a new HDD. Thing is, I only have a windows 7 CD and a product key. Is there any way you can upgrade the OS from windows 7 to 10? And can I still reuse the product key? Thanks guys :)

If you already had W10 activated on that MB, you can just install W10 again. You can either enter W7 key or just skip it. When you activate W10 on a certain machine, activation stays at MS server.
