Ok weirdest problem ive ever seen

I cleaned my pc, and when i turned the pc on, i noticed HWMonitor and CPU-Z werent loading the SPD RAM Readings, so i placed my pc on its side on the floor and took the case off, reslotted the ram sticks and bam , works

Then when i put it all back together, put the pc vertical as usual, suddenly its not working again.

Im not crashing, pc boots fines, runs extremely fast. DDR4, great motherboard. games are amazing

What the F?

what baffles me though is if that were true, then his memory shouldn't work properly. I don't understand how it can WORK yet someone not be detected properly?

Or are their a few connectors that ONLY are involved in detecting the memory (SPD)? Hmmm.. possibly. Either way, cleaning as suggested is probably a good idea.

*Also, see if the memory is shown in the BIOS. If it can detect the kit and apply XMP then it's working. No idea why WINDOWS would not show anything but if BIOS can detect it and XMP applies the correct profile then there's nothing to worry about likely.

Cleaning should be safe, but there's still always a small risk of damaging something any time you pull things apart.

i ended up cleaning them , moving the slots 1 across for each mem stick, i have 2x8GB DDR4 sticks, and a decent 4 slot motherboard, and i realised that i did a bios update recently and that the bios update may have been the cause. and fluke incidents/miracles

Anyway, after resetting the bios, all is good.
