Can someone tell me what of the test programs would work well for my Dell 5110 W7 pc? It just about has to have some kind of hangup with hardware or something that is causing it to hardly be able to play videos. I tried passmark but for the life of me I cannot find what are the numbers that it should have. I spent about half an hour trying to get pcmark installed and I finally quit on that. What would be a good test program and where do I find what those numbers should be/mean? Thanks for any help.

In the Pasmark, you can compare online your results with other similar systems. Your problem may be because of drivers.
You have nVidia GeForce GT 525M 1GB DDR3 as well as GPU built into processor. Make sure you have right drivers for it and that videos are actually using Nvidia GPU, not the other one which has low performance.

I ended up finding the problem. What I found using CPU-Z was that the core speed stayed at about 800K no matter what. In searching this I found it is almost surely what others are experiencing and that is the dell software throttling the CPU to minimum maybe due to a battery charging issue. Some had said that the ac adapters maybe had went bad. I popped my other dell m5030 ac adapter into it and it runs no problem up to the max 1.9M. Even a hd stream will play pretty well. It is no powerhouse but it can handle this.
Now I know barring power issues it will do decent tasks if I need a laptop out of the house, it's not just a useless piece of plastic and metal. Thanks for the help.
