What does the number of bit mean in video cards? Will a 1.5GB / 384bit video card thrash a 2gb / 64 bit and 3gb / 64bit video card? I'm planning to use it for 3D rendering and modelling softwares and some games such as NBA 2K and FIFA. Thanks!

The "bit count" refers to the relative width of the memory connection between the memory and the processor on the video card. Generally, a wider connection is capable of higher performance.

While the GTX 480 has a wider bus, the GTX 960 is a much newer generation GPU and the higher performing of the two devices.
