Glad to hear that you didn't lose anything precious and that you're getting a replacement. :)
As for your question, using the drive with multiple computers and/or devices should not affect its performance or cause any problems. Just remember to safely eject the drive before you disconnect it from the computer/device you're using it with, always.

My guess is that the drive you had became faulty at some point, which could happen with any drive. I don't think that it had anything to do with constantly using it with different computers. The important thing here is to remember always to have a backup of important information you can't afford to lose, no matter how reliable you think a drive might be.

Cheers!
Hey there, Karan.

Sorry to hear about the problems you're experiencing with your new drive. :(

Have you tried the drive with a different computer and a different USB cable, to exclude a faulty connection as the possible culprit? I'd also ask for a screenshot of what you see in Disk Management while you have the drive connected to the computer.
Other than that you could try is to access the drive via Ubuntu Live USB/DVD, to see if that OS is capable of properly recognizing it, so that you can get to your data.
You could also try with data recovery software: https://www.lifewire.com/free-data-recovery-software-tools-2622893.
And last, but not least, if all else fails and your data is really precious to you, you could always go for a professional solution: WD Data Recovery Partners.

Hope that helps. Please keep me updated.

no the data is not at all precious so i went directly to wd support and they have sent a new one to me i have a question though does removing the drive and attaching it to new computer constantly can create it to misbehave or damage it because i was removing it very often and plugging it in different computer so in future i won't do it does that create any problems
