So for fun I was overclocking my gpu memory in EVGA precision X. I set the memory boost to 1337 like an idiot, went to youtube and my computer basically froze and dead pixels where eve Btw my gpu temps also increased but they have never went near or exceeded 70 degrees c.rywhere. I instantly unplugged my computer, turned it back on, and the opened up precision x. Everything was changed to default, but i clicked the default button again just to be safe. Being scared i wrecked my gpu i opened up gta, and tested it out. Instead of getting 60 fps on normal, i was getting 80+ and noticed that my settings had been mysteriously changed to max. How is this possible? How can my gpu now run at better fps on a higher setting preset? All after i set precision X back to normal. Btw my gpu is an EVGA gtx 960 2gb ssc. Btw my gpu temps have increased as well except the temperature has never exceeded or gone close to 70 degrees c. Although the temps are 45-50 degrees in desktop menu. Also many times now I have clicked the reset to default button in precision x and nothing has changed.

Monitor your GPU usage in games.
Your GPU have boost technology and increase it's original frequency (Example: Original GPU frequency 1620MHz-self boost up to 2025MHz).Maybe that boost wasn't activated the 1-st time and u somehow activated it.
Or probably the 1-st time your card had lower GPU usage and u didn't use it's full potential.
