Need help diagnosing my computer crashing

I could use some help because I don't know where to start. My computer has been crashing for the past couple of weeks. When my computer is under load for some time it crashes. Then it will not start up. No Mobo lights on at all. Then when I pull the power cord out and put it back in it will start up briefly and then shut right back down. Note if I flip the power switch on and off on the PSU it won't restart. After I leave the system alone for a while, it will start up. I checked my temps and they look fine. Nothing crazy. I used prime 95 to stress the CPU and temps are fine and my computer didn't crash. It only happens when I'm gaming. I'm leaning toward my power supply failing but I don't want to go out and a new one without a second opinion.

Specs
AMD FX 9370 CPU
Mobo Asus msa99fx pro 2.0
MSI r9 290x GPU
Corsair ax1200 power supply
I bought the power supply referbed

Solution
That 70c is pretty high and the vrm's will have very little cooling with it,which they need with such a powerfull cpu.

Hope the other psu wil fix it,but look at the cooling as well if it doesn't.

Greetings!

Do you have a friend who may be willing to let you borrow their PSU to test your system with? If you try your system with a different PSU and all is functioning fine, then you can be pretty sure your old refurbed PSU is the culprit.

Hope this helps!

Which cpu cooler do you use? That is one hot powerhungry chip and even motherboards that say that they support it can have difficulties with it.

For the psu, might want to look if at both sides cables are connected well,so on the psu side as well. Maybe even just reconnect them at both sides, make sure the cables are fully inserted in the connector.
The psu probably has a limited warranty still from the vendor, can talk to Corsair directly as well for warranty.

tried only benchmarking the gpu? Look at it's temps as well.Use something like the Vally benchmark or hotter Furmark.

I have a cooler Master seidon 120v that works well. I haven't seen temps over 70c. I've tried testing the CPU and GPU separately and at the same time but it won't crash. Only when I game. I play startcraft and overwatch. I'll probably borrow my friends PSU over the weekend. So I'll let you guy know how that goes.
