The title says it all. I'm currently looking for a build that is able to stream at 1080p @60fps and also not experience any stuttering or lag while gaming on ultra or higher, I do not want to use 2 PCS to do this. I thought I could achieve this with what I have currently but maybe I am missing something. The only thing I can really upgrade is the CPU at this point i think. Money is not an issue.

Currently I have:
Intel Core i7-4790K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.40 GHz) BX80646I74790K

Zotac GTX 1080 AMP EXTREME GPU

G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM Desktop Memory (1600 MHz, PC3 12800) F3-12800CL10D-16GBXL

Asus ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 (10Gb/s) Motherboards (Z97-A)

Samsung 850 PRO Internal Series Solid State Drive - (MZ-7KE128BW - 2.5", 128GB, SATA 6GB/s) (I have 2 more, a 250gb and a 500gb)

BenQ: 144hz monitor

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1

Fiber Internet : 200mb down, 10-20mb up.

I use X SPLIT Gamecaster.
Games include : WoW, Overwatch, Killing Floor 2 etc etc. I experience in game FPS drop and stuttering in all while streaming and gaming at the same time.

If anyone has ideas or knows my answer thank you for your help in advance!

Solution
You should easily be able to achieve it with what you have now.

Check your usage stats to see whats being maxed out in game with Afterburner or HWInfo. Something may be amiss.

Turning off all forms of shadow play and updating my drivers to where Gamecaster can use NVENC and my GPU to encode instead of my CPU was the key for overwatch, streaming 1080p @60fps with everything on ultra. Killing Floor 2, no dice, have yet to test on WoW. I wonder if some kind of tweaking will be needed for every game.

Just an update for people. I also ended up over clocking my cpu to 4.5 hz and stress tested to make sure my temps were good, after an hour the highest temp was only 61° celsius. So doing this, + drivers + ShadowPlay turned off + Encording with NVENC instead of the CPU, I'm able to do all games with no lag or stutter at all at epic quality and streaming 1080p @60fps WITH my webcam on also! Thanks for telling me my rig doesn't suck and that it's possible, was looking to upgrade my cpu next !

I have an issue with my setup too. I can play games fine on ultra but when i stream on obs my games lag... It's got to the point where i can't even play.

What I've had to do is stream at 720p with graphic settings all set to low AND have vsync on just to be able to play... Is it my processor holding me back? Should I upgrade to the i7-6700K? or better? I stream 4-5 times a week for about 4 hours at a time.

My current build:
CPU: Intel Core i5-6600K 3.5GHz Quad-Core

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 612 Ver.2 44.2

Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151

RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4-2666

SSD: Samsung 950 PRO 256GB M.2-2280

Video card: EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB SC Gaming ACX 3.0

Power supply: EVGA 750W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX

Monitor is a benq 144hz

thanks for the help

Hey there. Would be better if u start a new thread really, but the easy answer is to log your CPU usage when it's happening and then check if it's hitting 100% load.
