I've updated my Gigabyte MA790X-UDP4 to the newest BIOS and installed the newest Geforce Drivers, 342.01. I'm running a XFX 250 GTS and an EVGA 250GTS, both 1GB. Windows 10, clean install on a Kingston SSD.

In the Nvida control panel, the home screen indicates '2X Geforce GTS 250' but no SLI settings appear. Both cards appear in Device Manager and have no error messages. CPU-Z shows both and identifies both cards by manufacturer and differences down to the clock and shader speeds.

I've tried an ASUS flexible SLI bridge on both pairs of jumpers, neither of which seems to wake up the SLI option in the Nvidia Control Panel.

I went so far as to uninstall all drivers and reinstall all drivers.

I'm sure I'm leaving out a few details, but I'll fill them in as I remember.

After doing a little reading, there is commentary saying SLI works on this board and others who say this is exclusively a Crossfire board. The Gigabyte web site does not mention SLI, only Crossfire, but some spec pages mention SLI.

Anyone have any experience?

Thanks. This board runs PCIE 2.0 8x when both slots are occupied in crossfire. At what point am I saturating bandwidth? Radeon 5950? 7750? 260? 270? Thanks.
