Hello,
Yesterday i noticed that my speakers were only working on one side, either left/right side will have no sound. Turns out the green port where I plug the audio jack was acting up. When I try to adjust the jack, both speakers would work for awhile, then after awhile one of it would have no sound again. I tried plugging in other headphones and earphones, same problem. Speakers also have no problem on other systems.

I'm wondering if I can somehow re purpose one of the other ports( black, blue, orange, etc) to work as the green port. If anyone has any experience with this issue or has re purposed an audio port this way before, your advise/help would be much appreciated.

Motherboard : ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming
Thank you.

I know some motherboards do allow you to select what function you want that audio port to do like a laptop but i don't think that board can you can try it if you where to plug a headphone or speaker in the blue input jack something should popup on your screen to select what function you want it to do check you bios and see if their an option. If there is no option to do that since it happens to you headphones and speakers that green jack has an issue their could be dust maybe in the jack but most unlikely the 2 ways you can fix it use the front panel audio jack 2nd get a sound card.

Yeah, it seems like my motherboard does not give me the option to do that. Seems like the only option I have is to get a sound card. The front port on my casing has been dead for a few years now. It sucks because I just got this motherboard 3 weeks ago. Thank you for your answer.
