This will be my first computer tech DIY project and I could use suggestions since I have never really messed with the inner guts of the PC.. I looked up the mother board info for my P7-1054 and I believ I purchased all compatible parts for the N-Alvorix RS880 -uATX ... so the amd cpu is a n AMD socet phenom II HDT55TWFK6DGR the video card is a PCI Express X 16 graphic card and the power supply was recommended as well.... I wanted to know if these are the only 3 things Iwill be changing ( willing to change out more to beter my system if recomended) What important programming or Like bios steps or any steps will be necessary when upgrading these items? I have the thermal copmound and watched a video on the cpu so i thought I would start with that?

Solution
well you purchased the PCU, Video Card and PSU, those are good steps. the next one would be how much RAM does your HP Pavilion has inside it. if 4gb, maybe find matching ram to boost it to 8GB would be my suggestion. it make a big difference on these older systems speeds.
