I installed the 1.91 beta BIOS to get AM3+ support, popped in an FX 6100 and the performance is underwhelming to say the least. Certainly not 100% faster in multithreaded applications as claimed by CPU-World.
Made essentially zero difference from a quad unlocked (or even left at 2 cores) Phenom II 555 in PCSX2 (can't run at full speed = unplayable) and it only gained a small increase in frames per second with HEVC video encoding.
Some web searching shows that 8 core CPUs *may* work.
I need More Power!
