well im trying to find a cheap x99 board and i found the GIGABYTE X99 UD3 2011-v3 for like 120$ but it has the first pcie slot ripped off the board still works the guy could test it for me ,but is it a good idea to buy it like that
I wouldn't buy any mobo with a pci slot ripped off especially the top one for $120. The second slot should still run at x16, however this is right from gigabytes website in the specifications for that board "For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIE_1 slot" Thats the slot that was ripped out.
