Hi,

I'm getting a stable internet connection with my Topcom200. But the MBPS is really bad.
I also used the tpa link 200MBPS i'm getting a higher MBPS. But my internet randomly goes off.
Does anyone have a good adapter suggestion.
Prefer the best price/value.
I am getting over 120 MBPS when i directly connect to router
Topcom: 15-25 MBPS
Tpalink 40-60 MBPS.

I'm also getting random ping spikes ingame "league of legends".
I'm sure it's caused by the adapter since it's low quality. Would be great if someone can suggest me good ones. -

Where did you find those brands, I think that is why there is so much confusion. I have never seen either.

In theory at least brands based on the same standard should perform similar. The speeds on the av200 ones are about what you would expect. The av500 are newer and somewhat faster but will not reach 200m ...most get just over 100m.

What you need to look for are ones based on the newest av2 standard. These generally say 600m or 1200m or 1000m. Most these will actually perform in the 300m range.

What brand is hard to say. With the brands you have been using I suspect you may not live in the EU or the USA. The problem is in countries that do not use one of those physical power plugs it get hard to find devices. The...

Most people on here would recommend a powerline adapter. Which basically uses the electrical wiring in your house to carry the signal. They come with two parts that both plug into the wall. One of them connects to your router/modem and the wall socket, and the other connects to the wall socket and your computer. This is generally better than any wireless network adapter.

Are these wifi adapters or powerline adapters?

A 200mbps powelrine adapter first and foremost only has a 100mbps ethernet port on it so 100 is absolute best you can get.
If you are bridging phases on yoru electrical connection and going from one end of your house to the other then 40-60 mbps sounds about right.

If this is wifi then unfortunalty 40-60 also sounds right.
First and foremost the quoted speed is your transmit AND receive so real speed gets imeediatly divided by 2. Then add in the signal loss to be a few rooms away and 40-60 mbps is about right.

The power plug adapters may or may not work with the powerline equipment even though they provide electricity.

The most popular units are from tplink and are their 1200m speed units. They also for whatever reason can be the cheapest av2 units in many places. Hard to give you a exact part since there are 2 different ones for the EU and the USA. There likely are more for other countries that do not use these 2 physical power plug configurations

I live in EU. My router is like 25m-30M away.
So a tplink 500 MBbps would perform all right? I am just hoping to get over 50Mbps with a stable connection.Like when my old adapter lost connection when my router /other pcs had internet.

Hard to say the powerline units based on the newer standards...ie av500 or av2...tend to be more stable as well as faster. Unfortunately there is no way to predict how well they work in any particular house. Signal drops are mostly due to wiring issues or interference in the electrical system.

Watch for sales the tplink 1200m units many times are on sale for less than the av500 units.
