I know my rig is quite old bought it back in 2010 all assembled by a local shop and it didn't have the GPU though, I bought it couple years later, Here are the specs ->

CPU - Pentium Dual Core E550 @2.8GHz
RAM - 2GB DDR2 @800MHz
MOBO - Asus P5KPL-AM/PS
GPU - Sapphire Radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR5
PSU - 350W (dunno the brand though)
STORAGE - Seagate 500GB
OS - Windows 10 64bit & Winodws 7 Ultimate 64bit (on different partitions of the HDD)

I wanted to know how old this is and is there any chances of upgrading it.
I do quite a bit of gaming and Editing stuff so I'm looking forward to build one soon but on a really tight budget (under $850). I normally use softwares such as Vegas pro, Premiere pro, Photoshop and Lightroom.

That's true. Nobody will put money on upgrading if they're going to build soon. But, if, I had to upgrade anything on that old system, What possibly I can upgrade?
Sorry, I forgot to mention that my build will take a little more time.

You'd probably see a decent improvement going with a core 2 quad Q9550 or Q9650 if you can find one really cheap. If you decide to build a new rig, this one would be a huge improvement over what you have and still be under your $850 budget (assuming you're in the US).

I did this for my old Asus CE4559 system not long ago, with a little cash and determination you can do it now but want to spend cheaply to give it a new breathing life for say 1 year;

http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-ASUS/P5KPL-AM_PS.html will permit you to search for a CPU compatible I see QX9650 those can be had for anywhere from 50-120$ on eBay. Q6600 for 50-60$

Ram acceptable on this motherboard is Max 8GB so you could find some DDR2-800MHZ RAM on EBay with some luck , I have done this on my office desktop and managed a quick bid for 4x2GB for 60$

Upgrade the PSU in mind with future computer so it carries over. same for Video card.

Forget about SSD for now it wont run properly on this system.

But I tell you in the end your tossing cash into a pit... I know.. over 1 year I slipped in bits over 400$, which I would of revamped the whole thing to a much more modern computer
