watercooling a gpu

Solution
not sure it gets you a better overclock

though might do if you are trying to wring the absolute maximum out the card

my aim was 1500mhz and it did 1550mhz on both air and water though water was much cooler i didnt try taking it to the absolute max didnt see the point for 50--100mhz more

and no graphics card fan noise

I think I read somewhere that the maxwell cards where very good with watercooling :) but what about the pascal cards?

pascal cards should be the same or even a little better

rough guide

my gtx970 heavy overclock

on air max 72c

on water max 50c

my new gtx1070 heavy overclock as well

on air max 60c

not got round to putting it in my loop yet so no water temps

but since on air its max is already around 10--12c better than the gtx970 its not likely to run hotter on water

its hard to compare as not the same air coolers on both but both have very good air cooling just by different companies but the gtx1070 isnt beating the

gtx970 because the 970 has bad or mediocre cooling is kind of what i am trying to say

Does watercooling help me get a higher overclock? Or just a more stable overclock? without the frequency fluctuating
