my build is in a
corsair 780ti
asrock extreme 6 mobo
i7 4790k
corsair h110 i gt closed loop cooler (applied thermal past twice)
32gb of 2400 280 pin ram (hyper fury)
dual gygabite gtx 970 g1 OC editions
3 120 mm intake fans (front)
2 on top of rad and 2 on the bottem of rad (push pull) 140MM
1 120 exaust at the bottem
1 rear 120mm exaust

my over all cpu temp is 32,34C

core is 103C
and another is 83C

i think thats very bad whats yalls opinion

do i need to make an RMA on the water cooler?

what are other ways of fixing it?

i have been thinking of water cooling this PC

Solution
just get the pin things right and make sure the headsink is FULLY STABLE AND CONNECTED DIRECTLY! TO THE CPU. also add gold/silver thermal paste if you have some :D not a watercooling expert but and expert in air/compoments. hope you get a little bit of cooling down there! have a nice night buddy

Cooler not making full contact with the CPU? A common issue with Corsair water coolers. You sometimes need to install washers between the backplate and the motherboard.

That or the TIM between the heatspreader and core has failed somehow? Might be warped from over tightening.

1C is more likely. The temperature difference is minor between a radiator used as intake or exhaust.

Thermal Interface Material (Thermal Compound/Thermal Paste,Thermal Pads,Thermal Adhesive) a term that covers all types. All consumer grade chips since Ivy Bridge have the heat spreader installed with thermal compound rather than being soldered on.

The heat spreader is nickel plated copper if I recall and is vulnerable to being bent with large coolers or over tightening. If a gap has formed between the CPU and the heatspreader this could explain why some cores are much hotter than others.

Improper cooler fitment can also cause lopsided temperatures. If only a corner or two are making contact.

Bad sensors or bad monitoring software is about the only other thing it could be.

Not according to the video I posted.
@OCD Tweaker, what are your plans?

i just made an RMA on the CPU and the cooler and sent them off

iv been using non conductive thermo past it was about 12 dollars a tube

for my custom water loop

im debating wether or not to have my loop hit the CPU then GPU or GPU's first then CPU

i want to over clock my 2 gygsbite 970's g1 OC editions ALOT

right now there at +144 core and + 500 mem on both and 68C stable

Oh boy.
My q9300 doenst survive like that man. it reached 60 degrees mid load
my advise is. you potatoed that cpu of yours. if it slows you know its overheated, 100 degrees??? how is that posiblle?
as i wish you good luck.
