Currently running on a 4th gen Pentium...should I get a i5 4590 or a newer i5( 6th, 7th )...+ I'd have to get newer rams n mobo....or stick with what I have n get the 4th gen i5 and save the money...will it last me for 2/3 years in gaming!!

P.S. - the CPUs on their own cost about the same!

i5-4590 is still a very capable CPU. Buying a new motherboard and DDR4 RAM would not be beneficial upgrade. Make sure your bios is up to date as the 4590 is a haswell refresh and will most likely require an update.

or you could get a z170(for oc'ing) and upgrade to the 7500(or something unlocked) down the line... That was my plan(late 2014).. But if were buying today, I would take advantage of the Ryzen prices.. Also keep in mind that I was buying the 4590+mobo as a bundle for ~$200 and the 4590 is reaching it's end of life.(discontinued) What I mean to say is dont let the 4590 lock you into buying a 1150 mobo and ddr3 ram...The 7500 is from this year and DDR4 capable, the 4590 is half a decade old. If its the same price than there is an obvious choice.
