Might as well just go with the i7-3770 if you plan on buying it. i5-2300 would perform better as it has 4 physical cores, especially in games like GTA V.

hello. so i got gtx 970 for free. and i am planning to buy i7 3770. but now i can buy i3 3240 or i5 2300. which one is better? 2300 is from 2011 and i dont like that. 2.8 ghz up to 3.1
