Hi, I have a Dell laptop that was gifted to me, the previous owner barely used it since she couldn't get used to it, as a result the drivers were never updated(or anything for that matter).
I updated every driver, uninstalled the Intel Drivers and re-installed it and tried to install the Nvidia drivers on Dell's site, it said "This graphics driver could not find compatible hardware".
At that point I had windows 8, I updated the BIOS, restored it to default and the gpu was showing up on device manager (hidden). I tried to change de .inf files but that was useless since it already had my ID (or whatever that is) on there.
So, I now have Windows 8,1 and the GPU doesn't show up on the Device Manager anymore and I still have the same error. I can't open the Nvidia control panel too and there is nothing on my BIOS related to gpu. I'm starting to think that there's a problem with the hardware itself, which would mean that it probably was always like that since I'm pretty sure that a 60 year old woman would not bother messing with it...
Anyone have any suggestions?
SPECS:
Dell Inspiron 3421
Intel Core i5-3337U
Intel HD Graphics 4000
should have a GeForce GT 625M 1GB
6GB Ram
Windows 8.1 64 bit
BIOS: A13
Feel free to ask if you need more information
Thanks for the help.
P.S: Sorry if I made some grammar/spelling mistakes, english is not my first language, but hopefully you could understand. If not, feel free to ask me.
