Hi,

Recently posted a question to which no one replied...

Since then I have been playing around with some settings. Basically, I'm having trouble getting an OS fully functioning on my newly built PC.

I thought updating the BIOS would solve the problem, it didn't.

My last attempt was installing the OS on my HDD from my friends computer, then hooking that HDD up to my computer, and it didn't work. It now loads up the windows 7 logo, blue screens, then follows that same loop...

I know from this that I am missing a driver(s), as from trying to install it on my PC (many days ago), it would constantly say no available drivers available...

My question is, what driver do I need, where do I find them, and how do I install them...

I have my motherboards driver disk, but i can't install the drivers on that till I have an OS fully running on the PC.

Please help!

The friends computer to your computer thing won't work at all.

I have a hard time following your post.

Newly built system, install windows 10, go to manufacturer's website, download most recent drivers, install.

Again, i'm not sure where your problem is. Just install windows 10 and go to the web for your drivers.

My problem is where you stated "Newly built system, install windows 10" ... When i try to install the OS (I'm using windows 7 by the way), when it gets to the screen where it lets me select a storage device to put the OS on, it is showing me 0 devices are connected, when in actual fact i have an SSD and HDD connected which the BIOS acknowledges.

The OS keeps saying something along the lines of "unable to locate necessary drivers". So my question is why is the OS not recognising that there's storage devices connected up, which should allow me to install to?

P.S: I have formatted the HDD to NTFS, yet it still doesn't show it when trying to install the OS

New motherboards won't work well with Windows 7 setup due to Windows 7 not seeing the drivers for USB3 or for the SATA ports the hard drives are in. Are you using a USB stick to install Windows? Is it in a USB2 port? Read the support tips for your motherboard on how to install Windows 7 on it.
