Hello, I have my laptop with a hdd and a ssd (connected through the optical drive) I've been using it for a while and I boot off of my ssd but every time I boot I have to press f12 and select to boot off the ssd. I entered the bios and it only has my hdd for a bootable device. I would like it so I wouldn't have to press f12 every time I boot, thanks.
Laptop: Acer Aspire E5-571
Bios Version: Insyde Corp. v1.32
Os: Windows 10

I would move the HDD to the optical drive and the SSD to the primary Sata port on the laptop, optical drives on laptops are usually limited to lower speeds that wouldn't even keep up with a 7200 RPM hard drive.
When you install your operating system on the SSD, leave the hard drive disconnected, this will insure the Windows boot manager is built on the SSD and automatically choose it by default.
You can also configure the BIOS to select the SSD as the default first boot option.

I have been using the ssd as a boot device for a while now but it is not an option for it to boot automatically in bios.

If it still lists an optical (cd/dvd drive) it's likely the BIOS will only recognize the port as such a device.
