Do I have to play the Assassins Creed games to fully enjoy the movie ?

I was asking is a necessity to know the plot of the games in order to follow up with movie
I have never played any Assassins creed game and I know nothing about it

doubt it. most movies based on games don't follow the game beyond the basic characters and environment. i'm sure if you go see it with a friend who has played the game(s), that person will be happy to fill you in if something vital needs to be known.
