So, about 3 years ago I was gifted my first gaming computer (Saying that gaming computer is the name you would call it). It is a Dell Inspiron 660, It had the base components of:
- The Inspiron 660 Mini Case,
- A 1 Tb Hard drive (I'm not sure of the brand, I cant even find it anywhere online or in my computer),
-A motherboard that I also can't find anything on it,
-A 350w power supply,
-A Intel I5 3340k Quad Core Processor
-8 single card Gb Dell RAM
-No Graphics card, good ol' Intel HD Graphics

Since then, I have put the following upgrades in:
-A EVGA Bronze 850w Power Supply
-A Nvidia GTX 950 SSC

The thing is, I want to start streaming and playing games like Arma 3, but as it stands i can only get 40~ frames on Arma 3 and when I stream anything I lose massive frames. I'm crediting this to the fact that I need a better processer and possibly even more, but the real problem is I have no idea what to do about compatibility since i can't find whatever came in this thing.

I'm looking at upgrading to an I5 6600k, and after that next on my list is buying a 240 Gb SSD and an actual gaming motherboard, but I'm worried about what I buy being incompatible and screwing me over. I don't really have the money to buy a new computer, because I'm pumping all the spare change I get towards College right now and I've very slowly built the money up to finally buy a few new upgrades. I'm looking for advice on what to do for compatibilities and also maybe someone can find the base parts that come with this thing because I've searched everywhere.

Thanks for reading, and good luck to you!

Solution
You can't install an i5-6600K into your Socket 1155 motherboard. Just something to be aware of. A SSD would do wonders for the system in terms of responsiveness.
