Whatever works is ok.. try the button before anything else if it works, you're done.
Yeah, I agree with multipack... use the BIOS default settings first, secondly try the button if necessary.
If the button doesn't work, other methods according to degree of BIOS corruption are:
1. Moving the Jumper (if mobo includes it) from pins 1 & 2 to 2 & 3.
2. Try removing the battery for 5 to 10 minutes.
Oher methods for tough BIOS corruption cases:
3. Doing all; button, jumper, battery, removing the AC cable, pressing the power button for a minute, and waiting an hour,.. or waiting overnight when all other methods don't work.
