first off my pc specs are amd fx-8320e, gtx 950 windows 10 with a 1 tb hdd.
i play games like miscreated, dayz and gta V(a few other games as well) but it seems in every game i get lag spikes every 15 to 20 seconds, which more often than not results in me dying. it has become so frustrating, i have watched countless videos to fix this issue and nothing helps, its almost tot he point where its not even worth playing anymore and i really would not like that. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME (fyi i am not a pc whiz either i only use it for gaming)

I need exact specifications :/ The lag spikes could happen because your refresh rate/response time is low.

If you are sure that your monitor/TV is good then just tell me

So 1st of all the fx-8320e is bottlenecking the gtx 950 pretty heavily. What settings are you trying to achieve on GTA? Also your monitor could definatly be the issue. If you did not buy a gaming one and your refresh rate is low then your monitor might just be producing lag because it can't keep up.

If its in your budget I would first update your monitor (I will give suggestions if you need) And then if you can (You probably don't need to) Update your CPU. (Again I will give suggestions if you need)

Still don't know what the 17" is. Can you tell me a model or anything because I can't tell you that answer yet.

If you're monitor is good then of course. If it isn't then there is no use because it wont even keep up with the card.

The monitor is not awful, but it will definatly cause bottleneck, but it might fix the issue. (Try it). What is the model of the TV?

Constant lags (like every 15-20 secs as originally posted) are often heat related. What are the operating temperatures of the CPU and GPU at idle and under load?

Also, driving a second display adds to the workload of your GPU (in particular). If it is overheating and throttling, removing the second display will help lower the processing load (and heat) on the GPU. This is not bottlenecking, by the way.

The HDTV is pushing 1366 x 768 and the HP is 1280x1024. The size of the displays is meaningless. What matters if the resolution (number of pixels) that must be processed. I would suggest removing the HP display from the mix.

How much memory does this system have? Also, what version of Windows 10 (32 or 64 bit)? Is your SATA mode (set in BIOS) set to AHCI mode?

Given the relatively low resolution this system is gaming at, this system should be able to play the aforementioned games with no lag. It seems that your temperatures are okay. We need to focus on your system config.
