I am currently building a blue themed build and I am searching for a good looking, but well-performing SSD. I am currently looking at the OCZ TRION 150 480GB. However, I have heard some reviews on OCZ SSD's being bad and unreliable. I really like the look of them tho :) What do you guys think?

OCZ is actually owned by Toshiba and they make a huge amount of the NAND flash modules used in other brands. Personal opinion is that this SSD is a good middle of the road drive that uses TLC flash. A better SSD is a PNY CS2211, since it uses MLC flash. Then there's Samsung SSD's at the top of the heap. If you go with the OCZ, just be sure to get it at a good price, around $125 for the 480GB.

The OCZ Trion TRN150 is actually a Toshiba drive (Toshiba chips). Toshiba bought OCZ a while back. I've read they are a good drive. They aren't the fastest drive on the market but give excellent performance / dollar.

It's a low-end drive from a low-end brand.

Personally, if I'm shopping for something cheap that I'm going to store my data on, I would much rather get a reliable HDD than a low-end SSD.
