This computer is a mess

Cutting to the chase, I'm in need of a gaming laptop, because my desktop (I know, desktops are better, but portability)is just giving me the finger at this point.

At first, my computer just wouldn't load YouTube videos, fine, I can deal with that. Later, if I started to click on anything while a video was there, Chrome would just about and freeze, no apparent reason. Now, I can't play ANY video games, they just do not load.

I've downloaded many games to test out if they would work, and simply put, none of them do. I just bought Dishonored 2, and it played well for quite a little bit, but now it doesn't load past the filling of the yellow bar.

Any laptop suggestions? I was planning on going with the GT62VR Dominator:

(No, the specs in my siggy are not the PC I'm talking about)

It just sounds like you want a gaming laptop to me. LOL Have you cleaned out the system, re-loaded it, ran any sort of tools to see what's going on, and why?
FWIW, I like that Dominator. It pretty sweet. But WHY?

Always the same the user of the system blames it as the cause as to why it no longer works how it should, becomes much slower or starts to freeze or crash taking ages to do things it would zip through just a year, or a few months before.

Well sadly a computer does not tell it`s self what to do, that part is to do with the user of it.
It does not fill it`s self with junk programs, but rather once again it`s down simply to the person using the system.

And it not clean it`s self up, uninstall junk software ect, nope once again it`s the user of the system at fault the human being using it from day to day.

You clean your car, wash it, wax it hoover it out from time to time.
Check the water levels of it, and the oil levels to keep the engine running to the best it can perform at.

Yet why don`t some people realize you have to do the same with a computer and look after it in a set way since it get`s used everyday for most people.

If it gives you the finger, then is it any surprise, since it`s what the user of it has been doing to it for months or years of use ?

Who is more guilty in a sense, so many time it has been said.

A computer only does what it is told to, treat it with care. keep it tidy service it by removing unused software, virus scan it, malware scan it.

Defragment disks, and error check them.

Physically clean them free of dust build up as a service also.
Watch what you are installing, and also click on when surfing the web to prevent un wanted or malicious software being given permission to install it`s self by you the user of the computer.

So before you blame the computer, blame yourself.

your right your desktop is a piece of lard, Ill pay for shipping and take it out of your hand and recycles it, its all it deserve anyways..

wow that laptop is a beast... nice choice.. but remember laptop video cards even though have the same name as the desktop GPU they do not perform more than 75% as much as a desktop one (because of their designed boards limitations) but none the less at 1600. smackeroos damn

I do want a gaming laptop, but not really the reason. I've searched for malware, trojans, anything of the like, found nothing. I haven't tried a clean install of Windows, that may do the trick though.... I rarely download things, but up until 2 days ago my games would run perfectly fine, like they should. Now they'll appear to run in Task Manager but won't actually show up and/or freeze.

Really shouldn't mean much, but X4 860k, GTX 950 SSC, 8GB DDR3 1600Mhz RAM, a 512GB HDD, and 128GB SSD.

I keep this computer relatively clean, I use this one for small gaming, I clean it out every once in a while and re-apply thermal compound because I like to keep it clean. I can understand thinking this is 100% my fault, but Steam and Spotify don't do this sort of thing to a computer. Like I've stated up there, the games were running 100% fine, no issues whatsoever, and out of the blue they didn't want to run. Now, I may not have run proper diagnostics or tests to see what the issues are, that's totally my fault, that's why I came here for answers.

I'm not really sure where to start and maybe I am looking for a reason to buy a nice, clean gaming laptop, but I wouldn't sabotage my computer solely for something as small as this. I keep my drivers up-to-date, my systems clean, and I take care of my things, and I know it may not seem like it to you on this post, but that's my word on this subject.

If I had downloaded any malicious things or software or anything, I would have mentioned that in my post and have asked for a simple fix, but that is simply not the case.

Yeah, but I've enjoyed the little guy, I take heart to this machine. Yeah, I'm aware of that, but since I'm going to be moving around a lot more I could use the portability (I keep this one in my office). I'll only be doing light gaming, I rarely game anymore.

Sorry it was not an attack on you in anyway in a personal manner.

I was just pointing out how important is is to remember the simple fact that when a computer goes wrong in some way.
The cause of it is often due to how the person is treating it since it cannot look after it`s self without the help of the user of it.

It`s a bit like the old rule when you get a problem with a computer all of sudden.
And the simple answer, ask yourself what is the last thing you did before it went wrong !
Then just take one step backwards from that point to fix the current problem.

I ordered the GA-F2A88X-D3HP MOBO and have the X4 860k, no integrated graphics. I'll see if I have a spare GPU laying around. I'll run a memtest on my RAM as well, and see what fixes I can find for it (and swap out my parts)

I can completely understand where you're coming from, I just get a little defensive now-a-days for some reason. I take care of my stuff, regardless of what it is, because if it's worth buying, it's worth keeping clean/neat. I probably should have asked that myself quite a while ago, I really can't remember what I was doing before Chrome started freezing on YouTube videos. As for the games that day and the day after, they were working fine, I'd start up Spriter (Steam software for animations), use it for a little bit, and then get off and watch some TV.

In sequence:

1.I started up Dishonored 2, it loads perfectly fine, if not a little longer than expected, plays fine.
2. I quit Dishonored 2 because I want to try and max out all of my characters on Xenoverse, so I download it along with Age of Wonders III (AoW3 being the first one downloaded)
3. Since AoW3 downloaded first, I start it up, I login, set my settings and hit play. It shows as running in Task Manager and the nVidia Shadowplay notification appears, but the game does not show up on my screen, so I kill it through TM.
4. Xenoverse is downloading, I eat, I come back and start it up, I'm only greeted with a black screen. Alt + F4 and TM can't save this, so I sign out and try it again (same result).
5. Notice every other game does not load and freezes, so I make this thread.
