I want to make a white and red themed PC for when Ryzen and Vega come out, but I'm having a hard time finding a case for it. I was really looking forward to the Corsair 380t until I found out that it was discontinued... :(

The 250d would be my next choice since it can fit a 240mm aio, but it doesn't come in white. Is the 250d easily painted or will it just look awful when I mess it up?

Is there another case that you know of that would work? And before you say it, I don't really like how the BitFenix Prodigy looks, and I wont consider a ThermalTake case.

Funny you ask this as I just made the decision not to paint my 250D white in favor of starting totally fresh. I really like the 250D; I have a system in it now and I would have no issues painting it white if I was rebuilding in it. I think it would look nice in alot of other colors. If you are comfortable with a bomb can or have access to a proper gun and booth set up I don't see anything that would stop you dead. Sides and top come apart easily so interior access should be decent.
There's probably some nooks and crannies inside that may give you a hard time (I'm assuming you'd do the interior and I would for consistency and saving a large masking job) and I don't know how the front buttons or ports come apart. I could look more...

I could look more closely if you really want to do this. I say go for it if it's what you want.

For reference of what going from black to white looks like I just finished painting a Riotoro CR1080 white over the weekend, it's my first attempt at painting a case and my next build will be in it. Pics here :

FWIW I've painted guitars, motorcycles, and cars both for a living and as hobbies in the past so I may be more comfortable with it than most but start with a good prep job and the rest will go much easier.

If you decide to do it please post back and I'll give you whatever relevant help I can. I'm sure others here have more experience than I do painting. I'm new to trying to mod cases but the skills I've learned in 20yrs of metal work and painting cross over nicely.
