I recently bought and EVGA 1070 ftw and installed it into my PC. I ran into problems the moment I try to turn on my computer. The computer was unable to power on. The LEDs were very dim and the GPU didn't turn on at all. I used two 6 to 8 pin adapters to power the card. One of the six pins is connected to another adapter. Is this the problem or is something else wrong.

What exactly is the power supply? The situations in which you want to be using an adapter are very rare - if your PSU doesn't have the proper adapters, it's usually either underpowered, a junk power supply, or both.
