My HD 7770 began to crash about 4 months ago. If I try to install the latest AMD drivers, the pc screen goes black and freezes. However the old 2013 version 13.1 works fine.
Now when 13.1, in order for it to work without crashing in games is if i set the clock to the lowest in Catalyst Control Center (300MHZ clock and core), and it works fine under load, if set to default clock (1100MHZ, 1250MHZ), the pc crashes as soon as the game is opened. (black screen). One note though when its at 300MHZ, is if the PC is left idle for about 15 minutes, a white background with lines appear on the screen and i will have to hard restart the pc. It never happens when the pc is in use though.
The graphics card was never overclocked, but im wondering if increasing the voltage may solve this? Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
