Can pulling out the VGA-card GT8800 (on power) destroy MB ??

I have a Asus P5qd turbo completly dead now, not booting at all, no fans, just a green light on MB

Yes it very much can. Actually could have destroyed everything in the case potentially. Not just the board.

Why would you pull a GPU out with the PC on? Like poster above said, it could kill the motherboard, and most likely did.

It can and it almost certainly has. In fact, you are lucky that a short didn't cause damage to other components, or even hurt you.

You should never remove anything (nor install anything) inside the PC case with PC power on.

Would you wire up a mains socket with the ring-main live? No. of course you wouldn't.

Ai ai... i was stupid fast in a hurry... i wanted a quick swap of my GT8800 card out and try just another one ( GTX950) ....

I ordered a new BIOS chip on ebay, but i wonder if its gonna work.... thnx everyone

You will need a completely new motherboard, not just a BIOS chip. Potentially some other hardware as well, if it also got damaged.

The bios is probably the least likely thing to have fried. Absolute best case scenario you broke the PCI slot. Possibly the CPU/PSU/entire board
