Hello

I have ASUS motherboard P8Z68 V-PRO/GEN3.
i have problem in my motherboard. it display screen content:

USB Device Over Current Status Detected !!

i checked all ports of USB and i found one of ports is not working when i plug in keyboard

the question is:
can i remove USB3.0 port from motherboard without any problem ?

notice: USB 3.0 port is soldered on motherboard and in one peace with another USB 3.0 port and Ethernet port .

It does sound like a faulty USB port possibly shorting on something. Are you sure the USB 3.0 is soldered on? The back ports on the Motherboard will be but the front ports on the case will be connected by a cable to the USB 3.0 port on the motherboard, you could try disconnecting that and see if the problem persists.

Thank you for reply.

USB 3.0 port is soldered on motherboard. It in back ports on the motherboard.
Look at to the ports of motherboard, you will see two USB 3.0 ports and Ethernet port in single piece.
USB 3.0 in the bottom is not working when i plug in keyboard.

MY QUESTION IS: can i remove the USB 3.0 port or the entire piece from motherboard without any problems ?

Thats what i said, so its the USB in the motherboard I/O that isn't working. No, i wouldn't recommend it, chances are it would just cause more issues, unless you have a part the exact same to replace it with and know your way around a soldering iron.

and i will buy new motherboard if i can not find any solution for this issue .
