I have a arctic cooling liquid freezer 240 water cooler cooling my i7 6700k cpu in my rig, anyways what is the max temp this cpu can handle. I was using 3dmark (timespy) benchmark, and the cpu temp under a heavy load got up to 72c I read online that this cpu can handle up to 100c. just double checking with you guys. oh ya also I'm getting 24c-27c always at idle.

Under full sustained load i would want a peak temperature of 80c. 85c is OK, but a bit much. 90c is still within operating range but would be way too hot for my comfort. Beyond that and you're going to start getting throttled, preventing the CPU from getting any hotter.

6600k under a sustained full load at 4.5 peaking at 49C? I honestly don't believe that to be true, even on an H100i. :( Not posting so much as to call you a liar, but to state that 72C under full sustained load is actually a perfectly good temperature.

That's a good temp window for the 6700K. I would have also like to have seen your gaming temps, if you do game. Benchies are fine but that is not one of your normal tasks.

At idle my CPU is 2C

the cpu clock is at stock which is 4.0ghz and I have a corsair 800d case radiator is mounted on the top and I'm using 4 fans when I'm just gaming I keep pretty cool temps all the time its when I do a hard core stress test is when the temps get higher.
