My gigabyte h61-ms Mobo fried so I ordered a new Asus H61m-cs Mobo and so I thought to upgrade my i3 3210 to i5 2500 so I got a used one on eBay.in. I got it today, so I started the PC after joining all the wires, I was struggling with those front panel button socket. It didn't start so I tried using the power wire all the any way I want. It didn't start so I came up here, I tried if my PSU antec vp500pc is working with the short circuit wire method and It worked so I tried unplugging my r7 265. Tried it again, it didn't work. I tried using my old i3 it doesn't start. I entered he power wire like this
**++
******
At last and also like
**+*
**+**
Most of the time. I tried all but hear we re the one that's i tried the most. I want to know, what's the problem. Am I inserting this wire correctly, and I the front panel wire is bad then how can I make one in home miself that will just start my PC directly or is the Mobo that I got is bad? Or is itcpu?

My old Mobo used to start but his one not.

If you don't know, how to connect power button, why don't you read the manual?

I hope you're not trying to connect power button to USB header?
System Panel connector and USB header may look rather similar.
