My rig:-
Fx 6300@4ghz(O.c to avoid some bottleneck with rx 480)
Antec vp450
M5a97le2.0
Antec vp450
And i am going to upgrade my gpu from gtx 750 ti to rx 480 8gb!

Questions:-
1.can my psu is sufficient for rx 480 8gb
2.If my psu is ok for my rig !!! It has only 6 pin connector so there are 2 options for me:-
A. Choose reference card with 6 pin connector
B.use a 6 pin to 8 pin molex connector
3.i heard that non reference rx 480 draws 180w and reference draws around 150w is is true??? B/c i don't want to invest more money on psu as i don't overclock my gpu..! I will undervolt the gpu to run it cooler and reduce power consumption
Note:- don't suggest me 1060 and i will upgrade to ZEN & answers without changing psu are welcome
Thankyou

Solution
Sure, although every GPU will undervolt differently, so you probably can't just copy my values even if you get the same card. Setting a voltage of 1000 mV in Wattman results in an average load voltage of 982-983 mV (measured with GPU-Z running Valley benchmark). Under stock settings, load voltage is ~1113 mV under same conditions.

Since the RX480 is barely above the 150W PCIE + 6pin power budget, I personally wouldn't have any issue using a 6-to-8 adapter for it. The 8-pin connector doesn't provide any additional 12V lines, even #20 wires would still be enough to provide over 200W, same goes with the connectors themselves.

The only real question is how well the VP450 will be able to handle the load over time. While it isn't a horrible PSU, it is still a very low budget PSU with capacitors to match.

So what do you say reference or no reference with molex?

yah i'd stick to one that only needs the 6 pin. no reason to risk it as you're already pushing the psu as it is with the card.

stick with the safe rout and just get one with a 6-pin connections. as noted, there are some custom models that only use one so you're not stuck with the reference blower card.

Can you direct me to 6 pin non reference cards?

My bad, didn't notice that in your OP. Don't think I've seen any 6-pin, 8GB, non-reference 480s.

As InvalidError said, you could probably get away with using a 6 to 8 pin converter, even though that's usually not recommended. I wouldn't get a card with a big factory overclock. I have the 4GB version of this card, and I'm pretty happy with it: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137048
Managed to undervolt it a fair bit, reduced power consumption by more than 20W W according to GPU-Z. It's also one of the cheapest 480s.

Can you post any pic related to your undervol value ?

^^ Exactly.

Get the card you want and use a 6 pin to 8 pin adapter if needed. You will be fine.
