Good day!
So I was planning to buy the Sapphire RX 480 Nitro+ 8gb or 4gb but I read someone saying that the RX 480 can't maintain fps when more than 4gb vram is actually used. Is that true?
I was planning to buy the 8gb but I was also considering the 4gb one since the price gap is quite high for my budget (around $60 more; $60 could be used for other components) but I want to future-proof that's why I actually thought of the 8gb variant. Performance difference from the two is very close when looking checking benchmarks regardless of resolution.
So is it true that 8gb variant can't handle that kind of power above 4gb? Should I buy the cheaper 4gb? I would also like to note that I won't be able upgrade again for a VERY long time as I did with my last card.
Any advice would be appreciated.
