Hello!

Pls. help. I bought a new B150M-HDS motherboard and it is not seing one memory module, i.e. it is showing that just one module (B1) is installed, although I have installed both (2*4GB). There is no problem with the RAM itself (either dimm works in slot B1 but doesn't work in slot A1). What could be the problem? Should I return the motherboard? I tried everything, please help.

Thank you!

P.S.: Could the fact that I am connecting a 4 pin ATX 12V connector instead of a 8 pin one have anything to do with the problem?

Solution
Actually sgtscream no he didn't and part of the problem maybe with the new ram he has.

Tudor this is what your motherboard can support at this memory speed.

If you can find gskill or kingston hyper-x memory in your area this would work out best.
Also contact asrock if you are sure one of the memory slots may have failed.
You may need a new bios update so that motherboard can handle it and fix any issues asrock may have left in it.

Zeppelin 4GB DDR4 2133 MHz CL15.
But like I said, I don't think it's the RAM since any of the two sticks work very well in slot B and none of them work in slot A.
Thank you!

Actually maikutech if you were correct and problem "was with the new ram he has", theoretically both sticks shouldn't work in b1. He stated both memory modules work in slot b1, but both memory modules don't work in slot A1. This proves there is no issue with memory compatibility. If the memory wasn't compatible his computer simply wouldn't post.
That is a clear indicator dim slot A1 is defective and that the motherboard should be honored by the manufacturer for replacement.
