I've just brought a second hand i5 3470 but I'm using my stock i3 cooler.
I run prime95 and the temps go up to around 80c - 90c in around 5 mins.
Obviously I stopped the test. It idles around 40c.
I'm assuming these temps are too high and it's due to the i3 cooler.
Where can I get a stock i5 cooler from or can you suggest a cheap aftermarket? I can't overclock so really not fussed on spending a lot.
