Just putting together a new build and trying to install windows 10 but getting 3% into coping files and getting the message "Windows cannot install required files. The file may be corrupt or missing..." 0x80070570

I'm installing from a sata dvd drive and the primary boot drive is the 950 pro nvm3 m.2

The drive shows in the bios, is setup in the boot order, and shows up during windows setup. Windows creates 4 partitions (system, reserved, recovery, and primary). I select primary it gets 3% into the 2nd step of "Coping files" and throws this error.

The primary partition is set as GTP which sometime the installer will tell me it can't be installed on.

I'm guessing this is something with the new nvme drive I'm missing.

Thanks

During Windows setup, you will get to the partition screen, delete all partitions until you have only unallocated space. Select that and let Windows do the rest.
If that still fails, check your media and maybe download a new copy of Windows 10 and re-burn it to DVD then try again.

I did do what you suggested and same outcome.

Could it be that the dvd drive is setup incorrectly? I tried it with ahci and ide configs and both seem to have the same effect.

Does it sound like the HDD is correctly configured?

I also swapped to another dvd-rom and no luck, it can boot from the dvd and get all the way through up to coping files.

I tried to disable the CMS compatibility mode in the BIOS under the Boot section, rebooted, and the computer beeps a few times, then restarts and re-enabled.
