So brand new I haven't even got it yet, they both turn up tomorrow, I just had a heart stop moment after I got the dispatched email thinking wait does the board support the cpu

Only the newest BIOS on that board 1C supports the processor you need a Skylake processor to be able to update, otherwise the board will not function.

That is a good point actually, I should've thought of that

Also, MSI withdrew official support on all their boards for Kaby chips despite them being in the supported CPU list. If you check under specifications they aren't mentioning 7th gen CPU's. It'll work, but there may be some bugs is my thinking.

Check it out. All went a bit weird for a moment. Should be fine now tho

I wouldn't worry those articles are over 3 months old and a new BIOS update has been released since then.

So If I bought a cheap Skylake G3900 celeron to do the upgrade and swap it out, that should be fine and work?

Ordered the G9300 from amazon and will be here tomorrow, only £40 so not too bad and then I can just sell on ebay as used

Cheers everyone finally got all the pieces and had time to put together, it was a pain as the display decided to not work and then magically worked after waiting 30 minutes, upgraded the bios with the g3900 and working fine now as soon as graphics card turns up my build it done.
