Just out of curiosity, Is a dynamic cpu speed as good as a set cpu speed? For example, I was at a friends house trying to help him speed up his computer and i noticed his speed could go from .10Ghz to 2Ghz. Is this as good as a speed set to 2Ghz?

Solution
Yes 2GHz on dynamic speed is the same as 2GHz on fixed speed. Dynamic is good because it conserves energy by throttling down when not in use. The only time it could be an issue is if it were throttling down when you were trying to run an application where you needed the full 2GHz.

It depends, usually its better because of power draw, but I've had some issue with it, but usually it's best to have it dynamic, it will save a lot aof power, because if the CPU runs fast all the time, then the CPU fan will spin up, and get loud and puts more stress on the psu.
