Hello!

I'm thinking about building a new PC, this is what I'm thinking about so far.

Gigabyte LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6Gbps USB 3.0 Micro ATX DDR3 1600 Intel Motherboards GA-B85M-D3H

MSI Computer Corp. Computer Video Graphics Cards N750TI-2GD5/OC

Intel Core I3-4160 Processor 3.60 GHz, 2-Core LGA1150 Socket, Hyper-Threading (BX80646I34160)

Corsair Vengeance 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3 1600 MHz PC3 12800 240-Pin DDR3 Dual Channel Memory Kit

EVGA 600 B1, 80+ BRONZE 600W, Power Supply 100-B1-0600-KR

Hitachi 2TB 7200RPM 64MB Cache SATA III 6.0Gb/s (Heavy Duty, 24/7) 3.5" Internal Desktop Hard Drive (For PC, Mac, CCTV DVR, RAID, NAS) (Certified Refurbished)

Asus 24x DVD-RW Serial-ATA Internal OEM Optical Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black) by Asus

Rosewill Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case Challenger S

Does this look like a good setup for the price or should I change a part for something better, maybe change all of them or straight up buy a done machine?

This is pretty much maxing out my budget, I can't go much higher, maybe £50 give or take.

I have very little experience with choosing hardware and I would be really grateful if someone with some experience could share some of their wisdom.

I know it's a super small budget, but assuming you could only add $50 max to this price list, does this seem like a good setup or should I change parts or buy a machine instead?

Thanks in advance

Hunter

I want to have a good gaming PC for no more than $500 plus or minus $50.

Thanks

Maybe go with a Pentium G4560 with corresponding 1151 mobo which offers pretty similar performance (dual-core with hypertheading) for cheaper. I would also maybe get a single 8 GB stick of ram instead of two 4 GB sticks so you can upgrade at a later date easier (though if you never plan on upgrading the two 4 GB sticks would be faster than a single 8 GB). An SSD would be a huge improvement if you can afford it, maybe a 120-240 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD. Also you really still need a DVD drive? I haven't used mine in years. I would also think you would be able to get a more modern GPU in your budget, the RX 470 offers pretty great value for the money if you can afford it. Something like this:

Since you need in USD and not £.. its going to be real hard for any 1080p gaming pc...
Casual gaming will be fine with this
