I have a pocket wifi arriving soon and I want to connect it to my router (nighthawk x6 r8000) I have dd wrt running on the router. My question is can I use one of the usb ports on my router to connect my pocket wifi to the router? If so what are the steps involved in achieving this. Fairly new to dd wrt. I also have the r7000 if it would be easier to use that router instead.

Solution
I suspect (and i could be wrong) the sprint pocket wifi device may be a ZTE MF975S, if you take the cover off and remove the battery it should tell you exactly the manufacturer and model number. I found a forum that says it isnt automatically compatible (IE plug and play), but it is if you take the time to follow the guide i originally posted from DD-WRT and substitute your own details if required, it might work.

Its the sprint pocketwifi dont know the exact name but if you google sprint pocket wifi you will see it. It has a chargeing port on it that you can also use for usb tether. Im just not sure how to use it with dd wrt. Some people say just plug and go some say i need to change some settings.
