Motherboard wont boot with gpu unless i reset cmos jumper

I'm using an ECS g41 motherboard with Xeon e5430 through the 775 to 771 mod
It's detected and worked in other motherboards but on this one it doesn't boot with the gpu inserted unless i reset CMOS.
I tried changing processor to a quadcore or a dual core no change, changing gpu to 8600gt makes it work but that card js obsolete.
This happend when i entered the frequency ratio inside the BIOS.

  1. This is an older board, which might need a BIOS update prior to using your new GPU. Which GPU is it?

Well im trying to boot without the gpu and update bios.
    It's a gtx660
  3. I thought that it is much newer GPU - GTX660's shouldn't have any issues on G41 motherboards. Still, BIOS update cannot hurt.

So apparently my pc wouldn't boot with the processor in and onboard gpu.
I booted up with a dual core and would update the bios.
