Hello!

Trying to figure out if I need to build an entirely new rig or if it will suffice for now to slowly build up to a new one. My first purchase would be a new graphics card (Nvidia GTX 1080) and RAM (Up to 16GB) until I get further parts but I can't seem to find some solid evidence that it would be compatible with my current PC.

Some of the current specs are:

Motherboard- Z77 Extreme4
RAM- 8GB Sniper- F3-12800CL9D-8GBSR
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570k CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40GHZ
Graphics card- Nvidia GTX 670
PSU- CORSAIR CX500

Appreciate all the help! Thanks!

it would be a good idea to get a proper power supply first

also the best i7 your motherboard is compatible with ( i7 3770k ) and give it a overclock

Which power supply would you recommend?
