Morning all... I have a PC i7, about to "remodel" it (lol) add a SSD for boot drive then a bigger HD for files.

My question is: is there a downside to have multiple external drives, ie. say 3 USB 3.0 external drives? One would be soley for backup, but the others to hold some of "my documents", music, downloads, photos? Wondering if by adding multiple external drives that may cause an issue.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!

Solution
No, there is no downside to multiple externals. Your OS will have no difficulty identifying the different drives and assigning them proper drive letters, etc.
